... together with a cheque for £40,(non-refundable) made out to MPF Counselling. You can print the application form or alternatively phone our office (01494 440199) and we can put one in the post to you. If you are on low income please contact our office to see if we can help you.
What happens next?
Following receipt of your application form, an intake counsellor will then contact you to arrange a date and time for an appointment. You need to allow one-and-a-half hours for this initial appointment.
At this appointment you will be given the opportunity to:
Describe your situationDiscover how our service worksHear what the counsellor can offerExplore whether counselling is for youDiscuss suitable counselling times
After the initial appointment the Intake Team will usually allocate a counsellor to work with you. In the occasional circumstance when we consider that the service we provide does not best match your requirements, we will let you know. In this case we will always try to supply information about more appropriate services.
The ongoing counselling we offer consists of regular weekly sessions lasting 50 minutes for a period agreed with your counsellor.
